Easter in Poland

In Poland we celebrate Easter for two days: Sunday and Monday. These days are free from work. A week before Easter Sunday we celebrate Palm Sunday. On this day we go to church with colourful palms. Holy Week starts after that day. On Good Friday we don't eat meat, and generally we don't eat much. When Easter Eve starts we go to church with "święconka". "Święconka" is a basket with bread, salt, sausages, ham and a sheep made of butter. In church that food is consecrated and we will eat this food
for Easter Sunday's breakfast. We also eat a special cake "mazurek" and easter bun.
On Easter Monday we fight using water guns. This year we are celebrating Easter from the 28th March to the 1st April.
